Can't receive calls in US

Hi

I travel to the US a lot. In the past few weeks i can't recive calls. All calls go straight to voicemail. Vodafone have asked me to reset things , ensure the correct setting is applied to voicemail (set to ring and go to to voicemail if no answer) but nothing has helped.

Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do. I need to recieve calls for business

Roaming is activated

many thanks

Re: Can't receive calls in US

just an update. If I turn voicemail off, I can receive calls. But I can't have the voicemail option where the phone rings and diverts to voicemail if I don't answer, any help?

Re: Can't receive calls in US

Hi fiyero

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with this. I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

So that we can manually setup the diverts for you and get you up and running again I’m going to send you an email over to the email address that you registered with. All you need to do is hit reply and fill in all of the information it asks for. We’ll then get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks

Wayne

Re: Can't receive calls in US

1210 removes the diverts and 1211 reactivates them - you just need to make sure that you do not have an immediate divert set, i think this can be checked on your My Account

http://help.vodafone.co.uk/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=BROWSE_TOPIC&CMD2=search&PARTITION_ID=1... immediate divert

link also shows some useful commands

I am currently roaming in the US and have a similar problem to the poster here: http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Apple-iPhone-4/Can-t-receive-calls-in-US/td-p/858351

If call divert is enabled, calls either go immediately to the number I have set as a divert, and if I turn the divert off, the phone will ring, however I can't get the phone to ring, then go to the diverted number if not answered.

I have tried increasing the length of time before a divert on no answer using the following command:

**61*+44divertnumber*11*DELAY#

DELAY is the time in seconds (e.g. 30)

However it does not seem to work and the phone goes to the divert number after about 10-15 seconds, without ringing,

Re: Can't receive calls in US

Hi Jebelious No I dont have immediate divert set but thanks for the suggestion.

I am now in South Africa and having same trouble. All my calls go straight to voicemai even though in the Uk theu don't.

I can still only receive calls with no voicemail if i don't answer or straight to voicemail. This is with standard voicemail setting on.

It appears this is happening everywhere for me which is very frustrating and means I can't screen calls and receive messages if I choose not to take a call.

i have emailed Dave on the forum today but not heard back yet.

Re: Can't receive calls in US

I'm in the US now and have exactly the same problem. It happens with both AT&T and T-Mobile.

It looks like Vodafone has a problem doing divert on no answer for roaming iPhone users.

Hi Redhanded

yes I had the problem with both At and T and Tmobile and now with network in South Africa.(Vodacom) I agree it looks like a general roaming problem and needs to be sorted asap as i travel a lot, this is a problem for me.

Hi

I had some very polite and prompt e-mails from Wayne and Dave on the forum. There was a fault with the network which has been fixed,

I was asked to refresh my network and now the problem is resolved. I can now have my phone ring and go to voicemail if i don't answer.

Thank you to Wayne and Dave and the e-forum as i didn't think this would get resolved so I am really grateful.

If this issue arises when I travel again in a couple of weeks, I shall report back on here. Hopefully it's resolved now.

Thanks again
