Could someone at Vodafone please check the status of the Voda Network at these two post codes: BH25JL And BH25LR They are 10 minutes walk from each other but I am having very different results with signal. At 5JL I have great signal but my battery lasts about 5 hours max At 5LR I have rubbish signal and my battery will last 2 days straight Both areas tested with similar usage, minimal calls and average text and data usage! It's been my understanding that a low signal will cause the phone to try and boosts it's connection therefore reducing battery life, but I am getting quite the opposite, I know it's not the phone as I'd have a average usage time at these two addresses and not the vastly different times I'm getting!! Thanks for posting, this does sound a little strange. I've checked the 2 postcodes and can see that there should be 3G signal at both locations, however 5JL is predicted to have stronger coverage than 5LR.

As for why this is affecting your battery, it could be that you're not picking 3G signal up at all at 5JL and so are on the 2G network. If so, then this would explain why the battery lasts longer there because being connected to 2G uses less battery than being connected to 3G.
