iPhone 4 and 4S

Ordered the iPhone 4S on Friday 7th to be delivered to the Vodafone Store 168 Piccadilly , London.
However this store is currently closed for refurbishment until 19th October (and has been closed since 3rd Oct so how come it allowed me to select it in the order process!)
Can I change this to be delivered to another store? Can I have it delivered home?

This is the first i have heard or read of this, as i also have selected that store for collection.

Can you name your source as the VF site has no reference to it being closed.

I'm the source. I work 5 minutes away from the shop. Can email you a photo if you like. There is a message on the door saying the nearest branch is oxford street. They also give a phone number which I think is the vstore

i'll check it for myself when i head into work later, but thanks for the offer of the Photo.

I think it's unusal that they haven't mentioned anything on the website (at all, never mind pre-orders) and a little unfair that they can't change the delivery store to i don't know the oxford st branch? as we'd have chosed that had we known!!

It's annoying since it's been closed since the 3rd of October. A few people at work also chose the Piccadilly store and are having the same problems trying to change the address.

Had this off the VodafoneUK twitter feed.

So either it will be open, or their staff don't know it's being refurbed.

Good news! Just called that number above. When I explained the problem they put me through to another department straight away. They then changed it to the Oxford Street store. Didn't have to wait in any call queues either so phone now if you can.

I have the same issue and I have been waiting for an iPhone4 since last week to collect. I phoned the number indicated here, and was told they cant get hold on the store manager, so maybe I should just wait until a week from tomorrow when the store opens again. I tried to explain that is not really good enough, and was told by the guy he cant help me any further. 

How can I arrange for the phone to be redelivered to another store.

was initially told by *a service representative* (191 option 4) that i can't change the store and has to be delivered to my home address :/ And now being told i can't change anything about it as it's greyed out.
grrrr

Outcome : Can't change nor cancel it as it is sat on a pallet ready to be sent to piccadilly store (closed) 

VF looking into what is going to happen with it and should get back to me within 24 hours.  They are expecting it to be redirected to another local store.

Expecting a return phonecall in next 24 hours to confirm the action.

I also went for the option of store delivery to 168 piccadilly.  Spoke to Vodafone this morning who weren't that helpful.  They tracked the package to the parcelforce London NW depot and told me to either pick up the package from the depot(!) or to call parcelforce to see if they could change the address of the delivery.

Spoke to parcelforce who said there weren't any delivery details on the system for the package and they didn't know where it was being delivered to. Also if I wanted the address changed it would be £5.50! So now I have to wait for the collections team at parcelforce to call me back and they don't start til 11am...

Anyone else heard anything? Bit annoyed we were allowed to pick delivery to a closed store and not told about it!

Latest is the parcel cannot be redirected until the morning apparently.  So I have to call back in the morning to check if this has been done AND I won't receive the new phone until Monday at the latest - and that's if they've managed to change the delivery to another store in the morning.  I'm not happy.  I preordered so I could receive it on the launch date!

Well, i've received the text stating my phone will be ready for collection from 10am tomorrow (friday), now having confirmed this store as closed i don't quite know how it will be ready for collection!!

Ok, this goes for anybody who has ordered their phone to a refurbished store:

"You will be contacted and told where you can collect your phone from"

Basically they have realised and diverted the delivery to *hopefully* a local store.

Just got picked mine up from the Oxford Street branch. The guy said that all deliveries for the closed Piccadilly store were redirected there. They are calling everyone to let them know
