Does Vodafone App work for ANYONE???? ??

I have the Vodafone App on my iPhone 4S and it simply does not work, gets an erro when going through set up EVERY time.
The write ups of the App on iTunes look awful.
Does it work for anyone?

I am doing nothing at the time.
I am still trying to get it to run for the very first time!
It gets part way through its first run, then says Unexpected Error. Cannot get your account information.
Does this EVERY TIME.
Must have tried 40-50 times.
I have deleted it, rebooted.
Redownloaded.
Several times.
All to no avail!!!!!

I know.
It refuses to run until wifi is disabled.
This is happening WITHOUT wifi connection.

Hi robster2007,
The app does work - I use it myself to monitor my account and to help with any queries which come up.
So we can get to the bottom of this, can you confirm the following to start with:
- The iOS version on the device
- The version of the app
- When you last tried updating or reinstalling the app.
The app is constantly being upgraded with new features, and one of the recent changes means that earlier versions will no longer run so we need to ensure you're now on the latest.
At the same time, can you confirm if you are able to access the online services at My Account for me? Due to the similarity of much of the content, if there's an issue with the My Account as well this could help to pin down the issue.

It works fine for me on both my iPhone and iPad.![]()
There is a new version of the app released a few days ago in the app store so it maybe deleting the old one and installing the new to see if you have any better luck with it.

Hi
I have an iPhone 4S.
It is running the latest IOS 5.1 release.
A few minutes ago I deleted the app from my iPhone, rebooted my iPhone, redownloaded teh app and 12:17 tried running it again.
The results are EXACTLY the same:-
Unexpected error - Try again.
Trying again gives the same results.
Progress bar reaches the ch in Fetching and then errors.

I have a personal account with twoo numbers, one for my iPhone and a different number for my iPad, the app works fine on both.

My iPad does not work with this app either!!!!!!!
Just tried loading it onto my wifes iPhone 4, for the very first time.
It fails in EXACTLY the same place!!!!!
PLEASE can anyone not help find out what is going wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you make sure that wifi was disabled during installation?

The app will not run if wifi is enabled, so I am not sure why you are asking the question.
Or are you suggesting I have to download over 3g with wiifi disabled?

The app will work with wifi enabled, However after downloading the app you must turn off wifi the first time you open the app it as the initialising of the app to connect to Vodafone requires wifi to be turned off.
After that it works with wifi either on or off.

Okay, so we are both talking the same thing.
And I have answered this several times.
For the FIRST RUN, you have to turn off wifi or you get a messge telling you to turn off wifi.
I DO turn off wifi, the app STILL fails in teh same place every time on 2 different iPhone nad fails in a simalr fashion although not quite the same on my iPad.
I have to assume, as this is failing on two differnet iPhones inexactly the same way either the app is faulty, on both OR there is an issue with my account at the Vodafone end???????

It think it appears to be account related as on my phone and may iPad it works perfectly and I know a few other people who use the app and they have not had any problems with it.
