Hmm so this iPhone is locked to Vodafone France? I can understand how annoying that is.

You would need to contact them directly as we can only help Vodafone UK customers.

I found their website however my French isn’t good enough to navigate the site.

Just an update... All the iphones locked on vodafone can bre unlocked on ebay for around 35 pounds, no proof of ownership needed, no id no nothing, official unlock,. I used the service and is perfect, unlocked via Itunes. For O2 customer is cheaper , around 25 pounds.

Definitly i'm not lying, i've unlocked already  a 3gs from vodafone and one from O2.You have to carefully select the corect service, many ebayers just provide a jailbreak solution and then unlock (termporary unlock) , but as soon you update the software the iphone is locked again. I've found plenty genuine ebay sellers that provide official unlock for 3gs  iphones. Tested by me twice with two different networks and is perfect, you just have to be carefull to select the correct seller.Cheers!

Hi Rabidferret,

Once requested, the usual period for an iPhone unlock is approximately 48 hours - the bank holidays may extend that slightly at the moment though.

I've checked our email system to make sure that your request was submitted, and I'm unable to locate any emails from the address registered to this eForum account. Have you emailed from a different address with the request? If not, then let us know and we'll send you an email which will direct your response straight to our mailbox.

I tried to post a message few times already, my internet connection is not the best today.

Basically

I have got a nice iphone 4 32 gb device. (nice present)

it is currently locked to Vodafone uk. I would like to use this phone abroad.  (i am based in hungary)

Is it possible to unlock this phone so i could use my other sim as well?

Could you let me know what needs to be done please.
