Thanks for all of your posts here.

Don’t worry the iPhone will unlock fine no matter what country you are in. As long as you have a connection to iTunes via a PC/Mac, this will work fine as the unlock is sent via the internet to your iTunes account rather than over the network.

Thanks for your post here. We'll be happy to check this for you but at the moment the department we need is closed.

I'm going to send an email over to my day time colleagues who will be happy to get in contact with the necessary department and find out if it has been unlocked or not.

Obviously the only thing we can check is that it has been submitted to Apple. It is then up to Apple to unlock the phone.

The reference number you've given is actually an email reference rather than a network unlock request reference.

That said, I've located your details from the email in question and can confirm that this is currently being worked on and you'll be advised as soon as we get confirmation. This usually takes no more than 48 hours to complete.

I submitted a request 5 days ago (request is 258025), and got a reply within 48hrs saying 'I have submitted a request for generating Number Unlocking Code & the reference number for the same is 258025

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you have not heard anything with regards to this.

The department we need to speak to is not open at the moment so I’m unable to check this for you right now. However, have you tried popping the non Vodafone SIM into the iPhone and syncing with iTunes? This is where the unlock comes from.

I’ve checked your reference number and your request for a Network Unlocking Code is currently showing as pending. This usually takes no more than 48 hours to complete.

However I’ve chased this up for you and I will update you when I have more information.

When you’re unlocking the phone it would need to be switched on whilst it is connected to iTunes.

Hello I am filing this request on behalf of my brother to know whether the iPhone 4 has been unlocked. The case number is 255670. In Apple's database it is showing up as being still locked to Vodafone UK. I confirmed it by calling Apple just for information sake.

Thank you Wayne, I will be ever so grateful if you could please confirm it by tomorrow if the iPhone 4 is unlocked or not. Because I have to guide in restoring the iPhone and confirm whether it is unlocked or not. His knowledge is severely limited in this respect .

Hi Siro,

Apologies - I checked the last couple of posts on the thread but missed the one where you quoted this.

I've checked the reference and this has been completed, so the iPhone is now ready for you to complete the process. You should have received an email on how to do this, but if you haven't had this yet, I'll confirm the steps you need to follow here:

 - Replace the SIM card with one which has never been used with this iPhone

 - Connect to iTunes to allow the device to pick up the new settings

 Or

 - perform a software restore via iTunes

 - Once completed, disconnect from iTunes and you should be fully unlocked!
