Your phone needs to be active on the Vodafone UK network for it to be unlocked. As in your other posts you say that you are in Egypt that will not be possible to do.

Also it has to be the person who was the original owner of the phone who requests the unlock.

and i actived the iphone on vodafone uk when i was in UK
BUT IT ISNOT working on Egypt networks !!!! i dont know why !
so it needs to be unlocked to all world networks

It is not working because it is locked to Vodafone UK .

You will need to get it active again on the UK network to unlock it. Do you have a friend who can take it to the UK for you and stick a PAYG sim card in it to get it back on the network? If so you could then as the original owner of the phone request the unlocking.

BTW was it bought from Vodafone on a monthly contract or as a PAYG?

i have no friends ..in UK
i have the original Vodafone UK sim but now im in egypt so it says no service when i put another sim (Vodafone egypt)

Hi Ma7moud,

The code you have provided is not a valid Network Unlock Request reference number.

With an iPhone, you do not need to be in the UK and you won't receive a code to enter - once a request has been completed you just need to connect the handset to iTunes on your PC to download the updated carrier settings. Can you try this for me to see if the unlock has been completed?

and when i connect the iphone with itunes it say that :
"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone .

Please can you tell me if the unlock request has been received.

There is confusion due to the fact I asked for an unlock, then the handset was replaced due to a fault.

Now when I request an unlock, I had a message saying that I am only allowed one unlock, technically I have not had any unlock.

The email reference I have is 413078.

I can see that the NUC team have emailed you back yesterday (17^th) to inform you that we would not be able to raise another free request as we are only able to give one free unlock per number on the account and this has been used on your old device. A charge of £19.99 would now be needed to unlock your new device.

You may be better of exploring other ways of having a usable iPhone such as selling the one you have and buying an unlocked one.

AS has been explained by a Mod to unlock the phone;   The end user needs to have an active Vodafone SIM card and be in the UK to be able to unlock any handset

It has been explained above a number of times:

The phone cannot be unlocked from Egypt. The phone must be in the UK and have a Vodafone sim card in it and working on the Vodafone network at the time that the unlock is requested for it to be unlocked.

A UK Vodafone sim card will not be of any use to you in Egypt. It simply cannot be unlocked if it is out of the UK.

In the UK as long as you are the original owner of the phone's conract then it is free,

As you, AND the phone are not in the UK, they can not unlock it.
