iPhone 4 and 4S

Hi I have bought a iphone 4 from a person on internet. Who actually bought this phone from Vodafone on a pay monthly contract. I understand it is free for a pay monthly customer to get it unlocked and the online prcoedure (form filling) to unlock the phone requires original customer's information. I do not have this information and the seller isn't willing to bother himself to get into any discussion about it. So how do I get it unlocked in this situation? regards

You have a problem as Vodafone will only act on an unlock request from the original owner of the phone if it was a contract phone. There is no alternative procedure.
