iPhone 4 and 4S

Hi. I'm currently using a text and web freebie which consists of free 500mb of web access each time i top up 10 pounds. I would like to know how should i go about connecting my iphone4 to use this web access as though i've tried turning on the 3G function in my iphone, it still says that i'm not connected to the internet at all.

Hi, I would check that your internet settings are on your phone. Go to settings>general>network>APN (or mobile data settings). The apn name I believe is pp.vodafone.co.uk and the username is web, password is also web, If they dont show then just manualy enter them, then try conncting to the web again. If it still refuses to work, switch the phone of and on and retry.

This worked for me when I upgraded to OS 5.0.1 and lost cellular data network.

Hi, I have just got an iPhone 4 and am on PAYG with 300 texts and 500MB freebie. I cannot figure out how to connect my iPhone to the internet. I have looked at other posts and have changed my settings to pp.vodaphone.co.uk and used the username wap and password wap as suggested, I have also tried the username and password web as someone else suggested but to no avail. I keep getting the message cannot activate cellular data network.   Can anyone help please?

Hi, the apn name isn't pp.vodaphone.co.uk , but its pp.vodafone.co.uk.
