Iphone 4 Unlock Help

Hi,

Sorry if this has already been posted before by other users but I can't find any in my situation.

I have purchased an Iphone 4 from someone who purchased this phone on a vodafone contract. I purchased this phone at a substantial price and after reading various other posts, contacted the seller to ask him to request an unlocking code in order for me to go back to my current provider, The reason for this is because I tried my old vodafone sim card in my Iphone 3GS previously and the signal was very poor at my work and home. When I asked him to request the NUC number, he pretty much refused to do this as he said he was in some kind of dispute with vodafone. As I have purchased this phone in good faith and the fact the signal strength at work and home is very poor compared to other networks, the chances of getting this unlock now seems very slim and I feel this is grossly unfair of Vodafone to lock the phone to your network, which doesn't provide the signal strength I would expect.

Please can someone help with this as I seem to be having to pay the price for someone elses dispute with Vodafone.

Many Thanks,

Allan

Re: Iphone 4 Unlock Help

My suggestion is speaking to Vodafone Customer Services and requesting that the iPhone4 is unlocked anyway. Regardless of your seller's dispute, the iPhone4 still originated from Vodafone, and therefore can still be unlocked by making your request with Vodafone.

Let me know how you get on.

btw, SLA on Apple unlocks is 2 business days, and it's done via iTunes.
