Hey peeps,
Just thought i'd share info that i have discovered myself, ever since i've been with Voda and the Iphone the tethering option as been disabled, asking to contact Vodafone if selected.. Now i don't know if they have changed this with a carrier update but a couple of days ago while on the train i was playing with my iphones settings and noticed that the tethering setting has a on/off toggle switch, i switched it on and didn't switch it back off...
Now fast forward a few days and i've completely forgotten about it, i plugged my iphone into itunes for a sync.. then looked and noticed the iphone had a blue banner on its screen, hadn't noticed this before, i have now realised its tethering.. I didn't use the internet and the laptop was connected to the home wifi, as well as the iphone and somehow the phone now displays that i have used 11.0 KB sent and 1.0 KB recieved..
Checking my latest unbilled usage and i have been charged for it (0.762 KB at 4.167)
So almost £5 for that amount of data!! im glad i realised and didn't browse the internet...
Look out peeps and make sure you leave the tethering switched off...

I would agree with that, just to back up that as soon as the first fraction of data is noted the £5 charge is added
