Hi thanks for all your advice. I have now totally deleted all apps and then re-installed one at a time every 24 - 36 hour period. So far so good just been having normal usage. The guys instore and the tech guys reckon that one of my apps (possibly street google or something like that) did not shut down properly and that was the reason for using 600mb in 24 hrs - I don't know but it seems at mo to be ok. However it has made me very wary about using it. Vodafone have refunded the cost of the extra usage. Thanks to all for advice. Cheers

ok so.. firstly my vodafone bill has never been the amount I am told it has always been over or extremely high... 3 weeks ago i had to pay £98 for my bill the week later i recieved my new bill which was £77.. and now im being told my bill is £99 -_-.. wiht my recent bill one day it was £66 and over night it went to £99 something. I phone up vodafone and whilst on the automated service it stated that "we understand some of our vodafone users are having problems with the data usage and we are trying to resolve the problem." but yet when i got through to an adviser they told me that i had gone over my data usage. NOW!.. to be fair.. i have been sitting at home untill i start uni and my phone has been connected to my wifi with sky. I tried to explain this to one of the vodafone colleagues and he started being rude! and explained they havent had that problem with no other customer.. so I MUST just be using my data too much. he then started talking to me as if im a child saying "when you connect to wifi at home its free". NOT BEING FUNNY... but i think i would know that as I use the internet every day via my laptop and i have never had this problem with my iphone untill now. i even told him to look at my previous bills in comparison ive always had at least 600mb left out of 750mb at the end of my bill!!... he then got irate with me and told me that "maybe when im at home my wifi has disconnected so its coming out of my mb usage" but that still doesnt explain over 500mb going missing over night considering i use the internet on my phone for facebook, twitter and little things like that. He then told me that maybe when im downloading things.. I explained that i dont download on my iphone, i download on my mac then upload it to my iphone! He then got even more irate and cut me off. So i called back and spoke to another stupid person who said theyll take £10 off my bill.. but none of them have answered why or how i've lost over 500mb overnight on my phone and the vodafone app is telling me im -1816mb from having 750mb thats almost over by 3times!! WDF!.. when i have been sittin at home connected to sky wifi. I even told them i started having this problem since i updated my iphone and they said its nothing to do with that. So what isit?? I then spoke to a 3rd person who offered me a priceplan with more internet but thats not my issue. and a further £10 was deducted. I was told to turn my data roaming off to avoid charges and even when i done so my minus mb usage was still getting higher and higher i have now turned off my cellular data as I am at home. I just dont understand how my internet is disappearing. Its frustrating because im being charged a ridiculous amount. I joined vodafone after having problems with t-mobile and now it seems that i may have to terminate my contract because i am not happy and no one is answering me!!.. I have now restored my iphone and i am going to monitor it closely to see if this problem still arrises! I have closed any apps open etc and have tried everything! Does anyone have a solution at all because i feel like im going crazy? But it was once i saw this forum i noticed that this problem HAS accured before.

Many thanks for your post regarding your data usage.

I'd like to see if there's anything we can do to help here.

Have you followed any of the steps that other have posted and removed all applications and reloaded them one at a time? This will help diagnose any possible causes of extra data usage.

If you could try that for me and then let me know how you get on we'll be able to take it from there
