iPhone 4 and 4S

Hi Guys,

hopefully  a quick one for you. Just recently I have been struggling to receive my wifes text messages ( orange iphone 3gs), i have also noticed that none of my contacts who have iphones , show in the sms list with their names only their numbers. I have tried re-entering their contact info, doing a soft reset and a restore through itunes but nothing makes any difference. I am on a vodafone iphone 4s. Please help !!!

I've seen a couple of threads about this over on the Apple Community forums. A restore has fixed it for some but not others.

Out of interest what format are the numbers entered in? Are they 07917 (for example) or +447917?
