Okay so this morning I recieved my micro sim through the post from Vodafone UK. On Friday 3rd of Febuary I ordered this sim and requested the number be changed. New sim, new number for my new iPhone 4S. As the agent I spoke to said, I unpacked the simcard, powered down my 4S, removed the old PAYG simcard, inserted the new CONTRACT micro sim and turned the 4S on.
Why won't it activate? No service is the message I'm getting?

The sim wont be activated until you inform vodafone that you have received it...they dont send active sims...
191 or 08700 700191 from a landline - after 8pm its an "lost and stolen" line so not sure if they will be able to activate it?...no harm in trying
One of the Forum guys will be along, but they do work on a "first come first served" basis so it wont be straight away...

For future reference, the lost and stolen team CANNOT activate a new sim
