iPhone 4 and 4S

For my Iphone 4, I have never been able to upload the next operating system using ITunes-it starts uploading-takes about 30 minutes, does the last few seconds & says-"there is a problem downloading the software for the iphone. The network connection has timed out-try again later. I have switched off my fire wall & virus protection & tried different PC's but get the same thing each time-any further ideas ?-Thanks

Try downloading the firmware independently of iTunes

Second from bottom (basically not the CDMA one)

Then plug in your iPhone and hold shift then click update, a filebrowser will appear, tell it where you downloaded the file and iTunes will update it.

With the shift key, if that doesn't work have a look online, I use a mac and am assuming it's relatively the same key!

Hi Jaayn,

The next operating system is not loading either-do I go to the same site & load 4.3.2 (4 GSM): iPhone3,1_4.3.2_8H7_Restore.ipsw & repeat the process?
