Siri

Tweo things 1. who thinks siri would be a million times better if you could just say siri then speak instead of holding the button. 2. as its beta software does it update automatically or will they update it on the iphone 5???

Re: Siri

You can also just pick the phone up and talk to it like when on the phone.

For me i think this will get the most use when in the car with the voice control.

Re: Siri

Works great for sending messages without pressing any keypad buttons, just hold up to ear and say send message, then follow siris instructions and finish off with send message, works a treat, pretty cool me thinks!

Re: Siri

I also thought saying Siri instead of a button press would be better but then thought that it would require the mic being on constantly and this would shorten battery life, may be the reason why it wasn't done that way.

Re: Siri

Hi all,

An interesting conversation, this. I think walker26 may be on to something just because of the way that voice control always needed a specific action to switch on as well.

With Siri being a part of iOS5, I'd expect the change from Beta to full version to be part of an iOS update down the line.

Has anyone tried any unusual questions yet? I was reading yesterday about someone asking what the meaning of life was and getting an answer. :smileyvery-happy:
