My phone has started going wrong, so decided to go for a new 32 gig Iphone 4 and while browsing the Vodaphone site, the good old Chat box came up.
The sales people were great in the chat and answered all my queries and guranteed that if I bought online it would be cheaper than going to a Vodaphone shop and also guaranteed despatch within 2-3 days.
So Last Friday 10 June I placed an order for an Iphone4 32 gig for the price of £600.00 online.
I work away during the week, so will have to put up with the dodgy old phone for another week. Not a problem, lets go for it.
I get my email confirming the order and I am informed that an email will be sent when it has been despatched.
Well come Wednesday, no email to say it has been despatched. So I ring up and I am put through to the Warehouse.
They explain that they are short of Micro Sim cards, but they will be arriving today and it will defo be despatched tomorrow ( Thursday)
So I wait for an email, all day yesterday and surprise, surpise no email.
I ring up 9:00am this morning and speak to the Vodaphone order people. They say the Warehouse has put a hold on the Iphone4 and I need to speak to the Warehouse. So I get transferred.
I am told because it is over £300.00 the phone has been quarantined and I should of got an email telling me so. I explained I have received no email. I am then told that it will be despatched today and I will receive it on Monday.
I explained that I really need the phone for this weekend and can we try and arrange a Saturday delivery, etc etc.
He says he will contact Pre-Sales and they will ring me straight away. I ask for his name and I am told it is John.
I then leave it a few hours and have not heard a thing. So I ring up the Vodaphone order line and they put me through to the Warehouse.
I ask for John and I am told that no one works there called John. I explain the issue and they look up my order number.
They then tell me that they have no Iphones, no Sim cards and nothing is being despatched for my order number.
They also tell me there are no notes on the system regards my order.
Yet 5 hours ago, the vodaphone order line, tell me there is a note against my order and to contact Warehouse. Warehouse tell me that it is packed and ready to go, they just need to un quarantene it etc etc etc.
I told the girl on the phone, who did not really want to listen to please cancel the order, which she happily did with no appologies or anything.
My family has 4 phones with Vodaphone and now I have to go through the hassle of cancelling all of them, because why the heck should I pay money to a company that is obviously so un-orangised and does not care about it's customers.
Think again if you are going to order a Iphone online from Vodaphone.
I expect this post will be removed.

Welcome to the eForum Community, I do wish it was for better circumstances.
I am sorry to hear the ordeal that you have encountered in trying to get an iPhone that you have ordered online.
So that you can make sure that this is cancelled, or if we can get the phone to you within a suitable time, I would recommend contacting the V-Store as they will be able to view what has happened.

Hi Martin
I asked the girl on the Warehouse Phone to send me an email confirming cancellation, which I have received.
2:00pm today I ordered a Iphone4 from Apple Store and they have guaranteed me tomorrow delivery.
And the phone is not locked to any network.
What is really annoying was the online Live Chat that are a really good sales Team, I was ready last weekend to pop into a local Vodaphone shop and get one, but they assured me it would be quicker online and cheaper, bla bla bla.
Oh well.
