Can anyone from vodafone look into this for me please? Many thanks! :smileyhappy:

Re: Still not received unlock code

You won't receive a code as there isn't one. The unlocking is done through iTunes.

Once you have filled in the NUC form it takes up to seven working days for Apple to process the unlock.

Stick a non-Vodafone sim card in the phone and keep connecting it to iTunes each day until you see the pop-up message in iTunes that your phone is now unlocked. The non-Vodafone sim is needed to complete the unlocking.

Re: Still not received unlock code

Say if I stick an O2 SIM in, and I get the pop-up in iTunes to say it's unlocked - Will it then be locked to O2 or is it unlocked for everything?

Also - Do vodafone confirm the unlock by sending me an email?

Re: Still not received unlock code

You should receive an e-mail telling you that the iPhone has been unlocked.  However, some of the forum members have reported that they didn't receive the e-mail but their phone had been unlocked anyway.

As far as I am aware, once your iPhone is unlocked, it remains that way. (I am sure Kids will correct me if I am wrong on this)

Re: Still not received unlock code

Ok, thanks.

How long does it usually take, they said 48 hours over the phone but I've read 7 days on these forums..

Re: Still not received unlock code

I would say that it is usually 7 working days as VF have to send the request off to Apple to action. I would also recommend following the instructions that kids has given you about checking every day to see if your iPhone is unlocked.

Re: Still not received unlock code

drey-p is correct, some people have reported not receiving an email.

Once it is unlocked it remains unlocked whichever sim card you choose to put in the phone.
