Stolen iPhone

Can anyone help me please?

I had my iPhone stolen last night and as I dont have a home phone I am unable to ring up to bar it. It was uninsured and just into a new contract so I wondered what my options are. I guess they're not good :smileysad:

Re: Stolen iPhone

Hiya, your best bet is to call Vodafone as soon as possible from somewhere to prevent unauthorised usage from your phone, as without insurance you would be liable for the call charges up until that point.

They can then bar your sim and blacklist your handset, without insurance you would be looking at whether maybe your home or bank insurance would cover it ?

Re: Stolen iPhone

If you have not already called Vodafone to get the SIM barred, you must do this as soon as possible, you will be liable for all calls until Vodafone have been informed of the loss.

If you do not have insurance for loss or theft, any replacement will be at your own cost.  Vodafone would have already provided you with a subsidised phone and would not have even recovered the cost.

Re: Stolen iPhone

Look carefully at your home contents policy as this may cover you for the loss of your handset

voda should be able to send you a new sim

but without insurance it's up to you to provide a new handset,

you are still tied to your contract for the period

Note I do not work for voda, My advice comes from experience and my opinions are my own
