Hey VodaFone,

I recently bought an iPhone 4 locked to vodafone on eBay. i talked to the original owner regarding the NUC and she said she filled in the request and they would be in contact soon. Its been a while now and it's still not unlocked. Is there any way I can get an update on the progress of the unlock? Thanks.

Thanks for your post here. You’ll need to contact the original owner as they will have raised the request under their account. They’ll be able to contact us and we can give them an update on the request.

Have you tried simply popping a non Vodafone SIM into the handset and synchronising with iTunes?

I have been inserting/reinserting my other SIM every day. I even restored 3 times now but still get the incompatible screen. If I give you the email she used to request the NUC could you check the status?

Unfortunately as it wasn’t yourself who requested the NUC we wouldn’t be able to check that email history of another person for this information due to Data Protection purposes.

However, if she can get in touch with us via the contact us form, we will then be abel to check the details on her behalf.

Hey so I phoned up the great people on customer service and they told me to top up and do the NUC. Can I get an update now? My ref number is : #9022102

I'm sorry, is that the reference number for your friends email or the request reference?

If it's the email reference number then I'm afraid we'll be unable to discuss this with you unless you're a named user of the account.

I talked to customer service and they told me that no request had been made for my phones IMEI and so I would have to top up £20 and unlock via the Pay and Go method. Thats the reference I got in my email.

Well I just phoned up again and they told me that I didn't have credit on the phone when I made the request...weird since I had 1p more than I needed. Oh well they finally took the money and now its a matter of waiting...
