How long does this take? I submitted my request on the 18th and I need to change my phone for a Blackberry, so need it unlocked asap.

When i filled out the form i received the following email :

We are unable to verify your account details for the mobile number 077925xxxxx, so your request will not be processed on this instance.

Is this because i'm in abroad or just because my sim has not been activated for roaming...?

Is it possible for vodafone to unlock it without the sim.

wide - Can you confirm if that is a reference from the subject line of the email or have you been advised that this is a NUC reference, as I cannot find this on our systems? If it's the former, is there a NUC request reference in the email itself?

rizmycool - Where you are shouldn't affect the unlock request. I'll send you an email so we can look into what's happening for you.

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry that you are yet to hear about your unlock.

The department that I need to speak to so that I can check this for you is currently closed. Just in case that it is already unlocked have you tried putting the none Vodafone SIM into the phone and syncing with iTunes?

How long should it take to get my blackberry torch 9800 unlocked? I phoned vodafone (191) and requested an unlock code on Friday the 9th of December and he said I should receive the code in about 120 hours, its been 5 days and my phone is still locked to vodafone. My reference number is 356969.. HELP?

You can find out all about Network Unlock Codes here and this is full of hints and tips and advice on what you need to do.

We request the Network Unlock Codes however we do not supply them, these are provided by the manufacturer themselves and it can vary from each manufacturer as to how long it can take.

If you have not received your NUC in the next couple of working days please use the form to request this from the link above.

BlackBerry would typically take 5 working days however this is a guideline.

Hi Guys i purchased a phone 4 off of a friend which was a unwanted upgrade i received a email saying that vodafone had been contacted regarding it being unlocked but said that no payment was done and that i had to click the link. now i clicked the link and it said the price was £65 but it gave me a payment I.D which is 176211what does this mean? do i have to pay or has it been paid and being processed?

I must admit that this sounds a little strange as the most we would ever charge for an unlock code would be £19.99.

Can you confirm that the email was definitely sent from us?

Also can you ask your friend for the reference for the unlock request?

Is the phone actually unlocked?

Did you make any payment for this amount?

The reason that I ask is that I can’t see any emails sent or received to you through our email system and suspect the email not to be sent from us.

I have tried to get the handset unlocked via web site but unfortunately couldn't manage to do it as the guys from customer support team always said my account details were not updated. At the end they advised me to call the customer support helpline. I had a talk with one of the team and she said she put my inquiry through. The point I have been wondering is that, I didn't receive any confirmation mail since then and I don't have any reference number? So how could I check the status of my inquiry?

Apples turnaround on NUC’s is 2 working days, so after this point, the best way to check to see if your iPhone/iPad is unlocked is to pop the none Vodafone SIM into it and hook up to iTunes. If it’s unlocked you’ll get a confirmation message on the screen of your device.
