iPhone 4 and 4S

Hi,

Confused with this problem.  Me and my wife are both on Vodafone, I have iPhone 4, she has 4s.

Over the past few days when she sends me a text from her phone via imessage I don't receive it in my imessage but get sent an email instead (see attached picture).

Any idea's why this happens, it is only when she send message to me, if I send one to her it works fine.

In your settings under Messages do you have your email address or your number entered in the 'Receive at' field?

Under 'you can be reached for messages at' I have my phone and email address.

It is very tempermental as it seem to happen when I'm at work in the day and only affects my wife sending me messages (other people she knows who have iphones and imessage, no problems).

At home now and its working fine and her messages are showing on the imessage app and not emails like the one attached.

Hi salanddaz,

I must admit that this is a strange one especially as it seems to only affect the one number and in one location.

As this is an iMessage issue, we are restricted to what we can do as it is not a Vodafone application.

I would keep an eye on this over the next couple of days and keep us updated to if the issue starts to happen in different locations.

Hi I am not sure weather this will help or not but try the following. Goto Settings > Messages > Receive At > Caller ID and make sure your mobile number is ticked and not your email address.. Cheers
