I have the same problem, I upgraded online yesterday, I called after and they told me it was out of stock and it would take 1 week for the phone to come back into stock, then I get an email to say 3-4 weeks!! I have ordered it to the store so shouldn't the store itself have the phone in stock?!? I am literally on the phone to Vodafone now complaining! Not impressed especially since they have taken the money straight away!!

Dejavu, I upgraded today at a cost of £40 and have been waiting for some correspondance to when I can go to my local store and pick up my new phone, but as it seems for the other comments I ain't gonna get that call, as no one has rung me yet... Will not be ######ed around, I ######ed off T-mobile for simialr issues, with so many phone companies out their I dont have to put up with this bull######, already dismissed Orange for their sneaky charges... this is a ###### take...................

Usually, when the handset has not been in stock to dispatch, what happens is that your card issuer reserves the funds in a holding account, but we do not claim them until the delivery is ready to take place.
If you have placed an order online and wish to check up on it, then you'll find the instructions you need here.
If the purchase was made instore, then the shop would have been able to confirm if they had stock in at the time. If not, then they would have given an expected time for delivery to give you an idea of when to expect the handset. If you have any concerns regarding your order then pop back to the store as they will have all the details and known when they are expecting a delivery.
The different sales channels have different stock levels, so if your specific model shows as in stock online but your store of phone order is delayed, this would be due to the distinct stock for each channel.
If you do have a phone order you need to check on, please let us know and we'll see what we can find out for you.

Fair enough, but why does it not say before you order onlnie that this phone is currently out of stock and the delivery time is an estimated (however long it will take). Rather than saying delivery in 2-4 days?
