Usually, when the handset has not been in stock to dispatch, what happens is that your card issuer reserves the funds in a holding account, but we do not claim them until the delivery is ready to take place.

If the purchase was made instore, then the shop would have been able to confirm if they had stock in at the time. If not, then they would have given an expected time for delivery to give you an idea of when to expect the handset. If you have any concerns regarding your order then pop back to the store as they will have all the details and known when they are expecting a delivery.
The different sales channels have different stock levels, so if your specific model shows as in stock online but your store of phone order is delayed, this would be due to the distinct stock for each channel.
