iPhone 4 and 4S

Hi, I've had my iPhone 4 for a couple of months now but these issues are becoming too frequent. Every now and then the phone will just freeze and the only way around this is to reset. I'd say this happens at least once a day. Also, seemingly more frequently when selecting an App it will appear for a split second and then go back to the desktop(not one particular App by the way, it has happened to probably every one at some time). This also happens with my e-mail and, again, the only solution is to reset. I've just restored my phone but this hasn't made any difference. I've had the freeze happen when making a call several times before my call is ringing out but when I reset I find that my call has been connected and left a confused person on the other end!

Is this a common problem or have I just got a dodgy phone? Either way, what can I do? Help!

Thanks for your post here. I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with your phone.

I've got to say I don't think this is a common theme across many iPhone 4 users as I've not heard of any reports of this. I have an iPhone 4 and don't have any issues like this.

I tend to do a reset every day anyway to ensure my iPhone works well. To do this hold the home button and power button until you see the Apple logo.

If you continue to have problems check the memory left on your phone to sendure you do not have too many applications installed. Deleting some may speed things up and help with the stability.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, as far as resets go I don't get the chance to choose when to reset as I keep being forced into it by freezes. I've got 13 gb free on my phone memory so that shouldn't be an issue. I could understand it if my phone was full of Apps but there is plenty of room.

Any more ideas? Should I be looking at getting this repaired/replaced?

Hi Stringy18,

To be honest with you, from what you have said there doesn't seem to be any reason why your device keeps freezing, the next step in getting this resolved is to look at either arranging a repair via your local Vodafone Store or booking an appointment at your local Apple genius bar.
