Yesterday I got a message through to my iPhone saying the latest settings from my carrier were available to download. So I clicked yes.
Since then I haven't been able to use the internet on my iPhone 4.
I have tried resetting the phone, downloaded the latest apple update. Cleared my cookies, cashe and basically everything and nothing works.
I have connected it via wifi and that works no problem.

I know people tend to google search for problems like this all the time so if anyone needs the answer:
Go to 'Cellular Date Newtork' in your settings
Change APN to pp.Vodafone.co.uk
Username and Password are: WAP
Switch your phone off and on again!
All shall be fixed.
