Hi Vodafone, I done a request form for a network unlock code and got a email with a ref # 8784749 but nothing sense just wrondering the status of this,

How long ago did you get the email?

It takes up to seven working days to complete the unocking process. Have you connected the phone to iTunes with a non Vodafone sim card to see if it is unlocked?

Sunday, had some phone bands listed and said all other bands to take up to 3 working which would be today, no I havnt tried that, I havnt got another network sim is this step required? Thanks

Yes. to complete the unlocking you have to connect the phone to iTunes with a non-Vodafone sim it it.

Just buy a cheap non vodafone PAYG sim from any shop .

Hi,

I have had a similar problem. I was wondering if a Mod could possibly check the status of my unlock please? 

My sister upgraded to a 4s at the beginning of the month and called Vodafone on 2nd April to unlock the 4 for me. Vodafone said the usual 48hrs would apply but unfortunately it is still locked.

A second request was sent via the online form - ref #8828813 and she received the usual email from NUC team saying it could take 3 working days. I have been inserting a non-vodafone sim every day since the 2nd April and connecting to iTunes but still no unlock. Any help a Mod could provide would be great.

I can see that your request in currently in the queue waiting for one of the team to raise the request for you, unfortunately there is currently a little delay after the last bank holiday weekend however they will update you one the device has been unlocked.

Hi James,

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate that the dept. will be busy after bank holidays but from looking at this forum it seems that people were having problems getting their iphone unlocked even last year. Everytime Vodafone are saying it takes approx 48hrs when obviously its much longer, I know its not your fault James but its just a frustrating waste of time connecting the phone every day when the department could have advised that they are working through a backlog and its probably going to be at least 2 weeks to get it done!

@ ollie31770, I have checked the request for you and can see that this was raised to apple yesterday under reference 455455 and should be completed within 3 working days

@ gillyf, the team are now working through their email queue as quick as possible and raising the requests directly to the manufacturers for all of our customers wishing to unlock their phones.

I have checked your request and can see that this was requested this morning and should be completed within the next 3 -4 working days.

That reference is an email reference. I can't send that to the NUC Resolutions team as they'll not know what I'm asking for.

The unlock reference is normally six digits in length. If you've still got a copy of that email the reference should be available within the text.

Thanks for coming back to me, though I don't recall ever being called James

I had this last week when I requested my unlock code. Basically the details we hold for you, in terms of email address and IMEI on the account are not up to date.

I'm sure Lee will forgive you

If you've received the reference that your NUC request has been processed then you should receive confirmation that this has been completed within the next 7 days.

Once you've received notification that it's unlocked, plug your iPhone into iTunes with a non-Vodafone SIM card in the phone to complete the process.
