iPhone 4 - Not Yet Delivered

this will be taken off be a moderator instantly but i ordered an iphone 4 at the begining of the week and it said on the screen that it would be delivered to the shop within 4 days which was yesterday and i still don't even have the email to say it has been despatched. So yesterday i rand customer services and was told the department i needed to speak to was closed and to ring back today, so this morning i rang and was put through to the people i needed to speak to only to be told a pack of lies starting with an argument about the day i ordered till i told them i have the email infront of me which has the date of order on then the flustered manager went a little bit sheepish and said there was nothing she could do because suprise suprise the people who deal with orders don't work at weekends. I paid the early upgrade fee of £40 to get the phone this week as i have been on holiday from work and could collect it at anytime but now it will be at least monday or tuesday and i will have to leave work early on whatever day to collect it at a cost to me!!! Also if the phone is out of stock why doe's it say on the vodafone website that it has limited stock available? and that the iphone 3gs is out of stock when it has been discontinued (again this was a statement by the custome service manager i spoke to)?

Not trying to hijack your thread mate, but i upgraded online too on Monday when the phone was apparently in stock. I haven't had any emails either, and my emails to v-store have been unanswered so far. I just want to know when it will be, my new contract started immediately so my BB features are useless.

I see they are back in stock now, just hope to get mine ASAP. I've got my 'Thanks for staying with us' leaflet in the post. I'm pretty unimpressed by the lack of contact, and especially V-Store seemingly ignoring my e-mails.

I'm in the same boat
they are threatening to take my post off the page on the same subject, i rang on thursday as well as friday. Have a look at my post - does it sound Familiar????? They are selling these phones through their stores out of stock but are not prepared to honour the orders that they have actually received and deliver to the dates that they have advised. Disgraceful service . to date i have received No update calls , No update e-mails and No communication whatsoever prompted by vodafone!

HI

I placed an order over the telephone for an I phone 4 Monday and was told that delivery would be 2 to 4 working days and delivered to my local store. I advised that that was fine as I was going on holiday on the saturday and so would have time to receive. I received e-mails saying that my account had been changed that very night and that the new rate would be applied .

Thursday I called vodafone to find out where they were with the delivery as the following day was 4 working days. I spoke to the person who couldnt find out the situation with when i would receive. the person took my details and called me back that afternoon telling me that she had no idea when i would receive my phone , even though my new rate had been applied.I advised that I would call again tomorrow as that was the 4 days and by then they should at least be able to give me a delivery date Friday called Vodafone again. First person advised that they could see that I had ordered the phone and could see the Higher monthly rate had been applied but couldnt answer when my phone would be delivered . I was passed on to another part of vodafone ( I forget the name but it sounded like an agency acting on behalf of vodafone) who were extremely un helpful. I spoke the advisor who again told me that they didnt know when the phone would arrive . I asked the person if it was possible for them to contact one of my local stores to see if there was stock so that they could exchange . Simple answer - no we cant do that with no offer of what they can do. The problem that i have is that the local stores direct telephone number is not publicised on the web and so you dont get through directly to them yourself.you end up going back to the same group of call centre agents so you never have the ability to find out about in store stock.

I asked could I speak to a manager and was told by the agent that a manager could only tell me the same as what she had. I asked a total of 4 times to speak to a manager each time greated by the same Finally the agent put me on hold and followed up a few moments later with the immortal line of "All of our Managers are in a meeting and cannot take your call" . Again I asked to speak to a manager as I wasnt prepared to be told that no one was available to discuss . this was followed by a long hold where clearly the manager had actually been called and they had gone through the detail and my request.

The manager answered the line in a very deffensive way , and when I explained that detail he agreed that it the service was poor and that indeed he could call the local store to find out stock availability. Again I was put on hold but when I finally got off hold i had been transferred back to the call centre operator who simply said that there was no stock at my local store and that if I cancelled my contract ond ordered through another route of vodafone it would take longer to receive. Again i asked could could i and indication of when i was likely to receive and the answer was i dont know.

From my side its clear that vodafone are takeing orders for product and retaining customers by makeing promises that they know that they cannot deliver. Communication is extremely poor as to take an order but to not be able to estimate or commit to a delivery date is a huge failure in their supply chain communication!

To be able to change the price plan but not deliver the product that is a associated to that price plan is simply Fraud.

My request's are simple:

If you sell a customer a package then when you advise a customer of 2 to 4 working day delivery , then you should deliver within this time frame.

When you take an order you Must have an understanding of the volumes of product inbound and not oversell that committed inbound stock without being able to tell the customer the expected delivery.

When you sell a customer a product you should not change that customers price plan until the phone has been received you should stay in communication with the customer rather than hideing behind call center agents that do not have adequate sytems to be able to identify when the customers product will be delivered honestly.

In retrospect I would should have gone on the highstreet and just bought a phone from any one of the retailers offering almost Identical service plans but with better customer service and stock in store! I have been a vodafone customer for over 10 years and have maintained a contract when I could have changed to other providers even though vodafone were significantly more expensive. this is likley to be my last contract!

Wayne
are you now saying that V-store are actually able to tell us when we will receive our phones , as from my side it was V-store that I spoke to last week who didnt have a clue when I would receive and who were very un-supportive over the delivery of my phone. It was V-store that said that they had no visibility of when I would receive my phone
If you are saying that V-store can now tell me exactly when I will receive my overdue phone, Then Great , but surely if that is the case why havent they now e-mailed me??
Wayne , I'm happy to receive a phone call from V-store to tell me that my overdue phone will be delivered tomorrow to the store . I'm sure that you are able to get my contact details from this mail and are fully able to arrange that?
What I dont want to do is spend another 30 minutes on the phone for a 3rd time into a call centre that has a " Computer says No" attitude to customer support.
Please can you advise
Thanks

iPhone 4 - Not Yet Delivered

This sounds familiar. I placed my order for my 16GB iPhone 4 on Mon 16th Aug. I was told 2-4 days. When I called up on Thurs, I was told that even though I had placed my order on the phone it had been actioned as an online order. Why? who knows! I called up again on Sat and was told that the Dept was closed and to call back tomorrow (Mon) so to this point its been 7 days already, and I've not had an email saying its on-route, so I'll be waiting till until at least Tue to collect it. The most frustrating thing is that the website and forums both say there is stock, and I even went into the store I'm expecting to collect my phone from, and they had stock there too! But I was told I would have to wait for my phone to come from the warehouse. The assistant instore told me that I should cancel my online order and then visit the store. If I've not had contact from vodafone by Wed then I'll be doing that, and could even be tempted to go elsewhere. I agree with the other bloggers, communication has been shocking, and not what I would expect from a large company like vodafone!

Fingers crossed we all get our phones in time for Christmas! :(

What seems to be causing confusion is that they don't list the stock levels for the individual types of phone.

From what I've read iphone 4 32G seem to be ok, but its the 16G that are patchy! What would be useful is if the stock thread could breakdown the levels by type and indicate when back orders for each type are being processed (or at least what date of back order they are now at).

I ordered my phone on a online upgrade on the 19th - so it would good to know what date they are currently fullfilling orders from (ie are they now fullfiiling order made before 16th?)

On the blackberry services issue, same happened to me - but if you ring 191 they will reactivate this at no charge if you explain your situation (very helpful on this and service was up and running within 12 hours)

We all understand that this is a popular phone, and that stock is patchy - just some simple facts to keep us all updated would be useful

Yes, looks like it is a common problem - I'm in the same situation.

Was promised delivery on Wednesday last week & I'm still waiting - the latest email from customer services says the phone hasn't even been ordered! LOL

SNAP!

Get your act togther Vodafone cos someone with a bit more legal accumen will start hauling you over the coals!

I will expect my phone (Which V-Store having given me a order number dont recognise it themselves!) by this Friday 27th latest!

Again, the webmasters must have the capability to mark an item out of stock, I know I used to do web authoring!

V-Store phone number? 15 mins wait and then fobbed me off elsewhere!

I ordered one on Vodafone business on Thursday with a PAC code from Orange. At that stage they had stock of 32Gb but not 16Gb.

It arrived on Friday and should be activated tomorrow.

Me too :(

Was told it would take 3-5 days. So now ive been waiting a week with no follow up emails and a blackberry that can only call/text.

I was also told that the money for the phone would have left my account on the day I ordered it....still there though!

I'm having the same issue as everyone else here.
Ordered on Friday 13th August.
Was told i'd get an email.
Didn't get an email.
Still haven't got email.
It's been 9 days.
Money hasn't been taken out.
(And you would not believe the trouble i've had with Vodafone prior to this order - and I still don't have my damn phone)

Hi Dave
thanks for helping out aukbusiness !!....But what about the rest of us ??? are we expected to wait for a month of sundays before somone finally decides to contact us ?? You should stop digging the whole and address the issue!!!
Will we all get a call today to tell us that our phones are ready to be collected or delivered ??? I'm suspecting that Vstore are trying to hold us as direct customers and not referring us to stores with stock in hand just to hold on to their commission- is this true??. As Gavin347's mail, the stock is there, so why cant you arrange to issue that stock to the customers that have been loyal to vodafone and who have been promised delivery and you have let down??
seems that no one is prepared to give any straight answers.
Dave
Can you refer this thread to customer services and ask them to respond to all of us what is happenning within today. Its clear that this should be possible as you clearly are able to view our individual details based on you being able to respond to aukbusiness (no hideing behind the customer confidentiality clauses as you are obviously viewing our account details just from the response to aukbusiness!!) . I'm sure that you can arrange that all of us get a call today to tell us that are phones are ready?????

Getting quite frustrated with this now. I just been on the phone with v-store, only had to be on hold for 9 minutes before I got to talk to someone. And all I got told...... your order is still waiting to be processed as a back order as apparantly there is NO STOCK, so why does the stock forum say there is?? They wouldn't tell me where I was on the order list but they still waiting to process orders placed before mine. Think I'm going to be waiting a while!!

So....

Why say there is stock on the forum?
Why the awful communication from vodafone?
Anyone else getting fed up?

I think I might cancel my back order and go instore and get my phone today!

Administrators.... over to you!
