Not sure if this is the correct forum for this post so apologies in advance, if so.
I was wondering where can I get a decent case for the white iPhone 4S, preferably not too thick and bulky.
All suggestions welcome.

Depends what you're after I suppose. Personally I can't be bothered with trying to stick bits of plastic not designed to resist scratches and grease onto a screen designed to resist scratches and grease so I've gone for a leather one with a flap that covers the screen when I'm not using it rather than a hard case that only covers the back and sides.
I bought it on Amazon while, erm, tipsy so not really sure if I like it (hasn't arrived yet) but it's this one:
For the last one I didn't bother with a case at all, Apple design them to be pretty tough but with this one a combination of a voucher for Amazon, the glass back and a 24 month contract as opposed to 18 persuaded me to get one.

Depending on what you're after from a case, my personal favorites are switcheasy cases as they are really well made, and come with decent extras like screen shields, dock connectors and dust covers for the charging pin and headphone socket.
I had a switcheasy vulcan case on my 3GS which saved it a number of times including my son dropping my phone down a full flight of stairs and I now have a black Vulcan case on my black 4s.
I am not a fan of the hard plastic cases as they tend to crack, aren't very good shock absorbers and can scratch the phone, but the Vulcan is a smooth polymer rubber material which is non bulky and easy to slide from your pocket. There are quite a few cases for the iPhone 4s on the switcheasy website and lots of colours and materials available.
I haven't seen switcheasy in the highstreet but can be easily found online at amazon and play.com, etc.
Let us know what you end up with.

Alternatively if you would like something different and want your phone to stand out and be different from everybody else yu might want to get a case from Threadless.

Personally, I hate cases. Detest them. I think it's such a shame to carry around such an iconic. good looking device like the iPhone 4S and then hide it.
I'm sure I'll regret that if I drop it and damage it...
Which is why this case appeals. It looks like it doesn't have a case on at all in the pictures as it's so thin.
This site was recommended by another forum user here I believe!
When you're buying a case, some important advice:
The iPhone 4S is not identical to the original GSM iPhone 4.
The iPhone 4S is based on the Verizon CDMA version which was released earlier this year.
So when you're buying a case, ensure it is specifically compatible with the iPhone 4S or mentions "Verizon".
The differences are very subtle - think the volume and mute switches are slightly higher or lower - but would be a shame to buy something that doesn't quite fit.

The cases from Ivyskin are excellent cases and come with a glass front so the response to touching the screen is as good as without any face protection.
The cases add about 2mm overall to the bulk of the phone and are finished in a non-slip material. I have used these on my 3GS phones and my iPhone 4's and never had a problem with them.
They are not cheap but then for protecting a £600 phone the price is worthwhile

The 2 cases I eventually decided on we're the Ballistic Hardcore Case and the Lifeproof Gen 2 case. Unfortunately it seems that they are both only available in the US but I have friends living there who sent them over to me.
The Ballistic Hardcore Case is supposed to go one better than the Otterbox Defender case. It has a built in screen protector and looks pretty solid. Simple enough to put onto your iPhone 4S but it does add a bit of bulk to it.

The Lifeproof Gen 2 iPhone 4S case is pretty great. It adds next to no bulk to the phone and aswell as being drop proof, shock proof etc it's also water proof. This one also has a built in screen protector. Certainly my favourite case out of the 2. After reading online about people's opinions of the Lifeproof case, it does seem to be that it's a bit like Marmite. You either love it or hate it. To date, the only minor problem I've found is that the loud speaker volume is slightly decreased but it's not something I'm going to worry about.

These Lifeproof videos are worth a watch too.
