Can a moderator find my Tracking number please?

[ Edited ]

I upgraded on Friday 7th October at 10pm and received a confirmation text straight away. On Saturday 8th October I received a text saying my order had been delayed. I spoke to customer services yesterday who confirmed I would receive my phone today as my order had a consignment number recorded against it.

I am trying to contact a Web chat rep tp obtain a tracking number, but can't see how to access that from Vodafone's website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm done being patient!

Hey, I've been reading the forums for a couple of days watching people get frustrated and anxious about getting their phones, but I thought i'd just hang back and not panic because I hadn't had a out for delivery email, just the original one when I first upgraded.

Oh how wrong I was! I've just got off the online chat with a guy who I went to speak to to try get a tracking number to see if it was out for delivery today and with who. When I gave him my order number, he came back to me saying there is no order found! What the ?!?!?!?!

My vodafone account has changed tariff and i'm being charged more money than I was before and the money had been reserved in my account up until today. I took these as a good sign through the week and gave me confidence that the order was on going fine despite not having the various confirmation emails.

I haven't even decided what I want to do, i'll not be able to repeat upgrade online due to the system thinking I just got a phone. I can't go in store because I'm an early upgrader, and I don't want to sort it over the phone because I'll not get my extra £40 cashback ontop of the £59 vodafone was supposed to give me for pre ordering on day 1, which i'll probably lose now as well.

What an excellent system vodafone clearly have, and don't give me this crap about being so many orders that vodafones systems couldn't handle it. They've done 2 iPhone launches before, they know damn well how many orders there will be and they could have been prepared!

Anyway, on hold at the moment with 191, which by the way, doesn't have an option for me since I just upgraded in the automated part, PUK, lost phone, home broadband and want to return your phone. Lets see how this goes...

order number not found?? o287814646

hi guys... really dissapointed with the service.... I placed my order on Wednesday and i can see that the money have been taken but there wasnt any update for the delivery or current status of the order. I ordered the iphone 4s so i called 3 times the customer services team in egupt or india or wherever they are... i had to wait for 1 hour for someone to pick up and once they did, they couldnt see the order number on their system.. they did transfer me on the uk team who couldn't see anything as well who in they turn transfered me again on the egupt team.. when I placed my order I had an ETA for my iphone 4s 14/10/11 but i dont think it will happen.. can someone in uk find out what is going on? i am a returning customer and one of the reasons i left voda was the awful customer service... so far still the same, rude people on the phone without any knowledge on how to deal with their system...

I had the same problem as you. Go onto online chat servi ce and chat to the advisor. You give your number, password etc and they give you a tracking number. Mine is due today between 1-2 with DPD.

Good luck

Re: I'm done being patient!

After speaking to a very helpful CS agent, I found out that the phone was out for delivery today, but the delivery address was wrong on the order, but correct on my account so the parcel hadn't been delivered. As an upgrading customer I don't quite understand how my address got changed, but anyway.

Finally got through to the local DPD depot, no point phoning the CS team there because they would only know whats infront of them on the system and i'll have to call over at 5.30 to pick it up. The lady in the depot also laughed with me when she seen the address problem, vodafone hadn't included a street address!!!!

She must be basing her little joke on the shambles that is te O2 system, there is not an O2 shop in the country that didn't have massive queues.  I know this might be of little comfort, it wouldn't be to me, but the chances are you would wait a week if you for any reason missed out on ths batch.

Moderator Attention Required

In light of the numerous complaints and issues with the pre delivery orders of the iPhone 4s I think it is only appropriate that a moderator comes on line and provides us with a complete update on EXACTLY what is happening.

I am in the same boat as the others.  I ordered on Tuesday, was informed that I could expect delivery on the release date - great.

Recieved confirmation email and then confirmation that my order now simply awaited dispatch, both on the same day of my order.

I have since recieved a further email confirming stock or something along those lines.

So, THIS MORNING,  I went online and opened a chat, during which:

Kartik: I have checked your order and can confirm that you will certainly receive your order today. The tracking details aren't appearing for your order but I can assure you that it will be delivered through Parcelforce today.
You: Ok, so I will be expecting the recieve my parcel today, correct? I need to be at home of course to recieve it!
Kartik: Yes, you will surely receive your order today.

I was very pleased and settled down for the rest of the day pending a text message confirming delivery or emailing confirming disptach or time of arrival.

At midday, I became concerned and began to read the forums and saw that others had experienced the same whereas some had already recieved their phones from 0800 hours this morning!

AT MIDDAY, I  opened another chat and this time I was told something different:

Abhishek : your upgrade is still under process
You: I was told by the representative earlier that I would recieve the phone today via ParcelForce
Abhishek : there has been a delay

Abhishek : however
Abhishek : the disptach of phones is done in the evening
Abhishek : and then the phone is delivered within 24 hours of being dispateched
You: That is utterly disgusting, other people who have pre-ordered online have recieved their phones this morning and, as per my chat, I have been waiting in all morning

I have since recieved an email with a tracking code which does not compute with ParcelForces website.

I think as consumers we are right to demand to know exactly what is going on.  Despite recieving the above, I am not holding my hopes up.

So,

What exactly is happening, orders, dispatch times, pre-orders?

And what are vodafone going to be doing for customers by way of an apology for this farcical experience??

Afterall, if we don't recieved phones on the release day having been pre-ordered - what is the point of pre-ordering?

I await, along with so so many customers, a reply to my post.  This needs to be addressed otherwise I will be visiting one of your competitors and you will lose another customer here.

With the amount of posts coming on here its taking 2-3 days before posts are answered by the mods. If you want a quick response I suggest you call 191.

Re: Can I pick up my iPhone 4s in store today?

I wouldn't imagine you will get it if you go to the store. You receive a confirmational email first advising it is ready for collection and sometimes also a call from the store depending on the store.

My store had stock so i'm now wishing I had just went it to buy it rather than ordering online in advance. Never again!

Re: how long for microsim to activate ?

Was done within 5 mins of phonecall this am.  Try turning your old and new phone off and turn them back on straight away - That worked for me.

Re: how long for microsim to activate ?

mine was within 5 mins of phonecall too, but you probably need to power off and on again.
