Hi
Just to let people know, just received e-mail that my iPhone has been despatched to the store I selected.
Model: White 16GB
Order date: 17/10/11
Hopefully if you ordered around the same time yours will be coming soon, if not suggest you investigate the status of your order.
Thanks to the MODs of the eForum for being helpful through what is clearly a difficult time.

You don't make it clear whether you're working from the actual order date or from the date the username appears on the 'Orders We've checked' list. I note that it's been taking quite a long time for some people to get their name on the list. Is this just another delaying tactic? If it's going to take weeks to even get on the list then I'll be lucky to have my phone by Christmas!?! What do you need to check anyway? I've been a vodafone customer for 10 years and you happily debit my account every month without a problem.
As with many others, I have no idea where I currently stand. I'm not on the list, I haven't received an email asking for more information, in fact I've received nothing apart from a very nice email informing me that I'm now paying the increased monthly tarriff for the new service I require for the phone I haven't yet received. You were quick enough to sort that side of things out and to take the money for the phone from my account. Strange that nothing else in the company seems to work at that speed.
When is anyone in the company going to wake up to the fact that you can't treat your customers like this or is it just that we don't matter?!? If you kept people informed then they would probably be annoyed at the delays. By refusing to communicate satisfactorily with your customers you now have a considerable body of people who are both angry and frustrated. If I could get a decent signal at my home address from another provider then I'd happily tell you where to put your contract.
Since my last post I now note that your website explains what limited stock means. It was a shame it wasn't there when I placed my order as I wouldn't have bothered if you had come clean at the time. If limited stock means delivery in 1 - 2 weeks then surely that means you haven't got any stock to send out unless it takes you two weeks to package and post the phones? If you haven't got any stock then surely it's 'out of stock' not 'limited stock'? Yet another vodafone untruth??

I'm just sharing this for many frustrated people. I ordered on 19/10/11 after I tried to order on 18/10 but order kept crashing. I have been phoned today to say I am one of the orders that has been lost in the system. I have been assured I haven't lost my place in queue since clearly this is not my fault and I am likely to get my phone in the next few days. The gentleman that rang was very nice and gave me confidence in what he said. I'm not sure if I would have been rung if I had not put my details on here yesterday. Anyway, I'm not moaning just letting people know that it's probably worth posting on here if you've been waiting from around that time just in case yours is one that has been lost.

I ordered 16th October, received phone call of Vodafone Store saying it was ready for Pick-Up at 10am on the 31st October. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
As you can imagine, after waiting 15 days. I pretty much ran there!
Long process. Daunting. The lack of communication sucked.
OH BTW. I received an email at 12.05 on the 31st saying it had been despatched and would be with me within a few days. Obviously, I received this email on my new iPhone LOL!
So best of luck to you all. Seems like they are coming in slowly but surely!

For people asking about the stock availablity on the website this is what i think it is. The stock is for new customers. They place an order then they are the new people in the que with a 1-2 week wait. The people, like me who have taken delivery of their phone are ones who have had their back order filled.
They have had stock but this was allocated to the people who have already been waiting a long time so they are doing it in chronological order.
