Heard nothing since...

Now if the phone is being released tomorrow; and I am expecting delivery tomorrow... then where is my tracking number or delivery confirmation?

This Tom fellow here on the forums says: "We're aiming to deliver all pre-order handsets on 14th October".

These iPhones will have been sat on a boat for at least two weeks on their way from China; they will have cleared customs; they will have been sent to regional distribution centres... all of this will have already happened... there will have been plenty of paperwork and bean-counting involved in this exercise.... so how anyone can claim they "have no idea of stock" is just a plain lie.

We're despatching phones throughout the day and into the evening so there's still time for your e-mail to be sent. Nothing has changed, as Tom states in the FAQ's we anticipate that pre-orders placed will be delivered in time for launch day.

Simon, reading into that I presume that an email is sent as soon as your phone is on its way to its destination? Is that right? I have seen a few posts saying its simply because the emails are backed up as there are so many?

Simon will there be any apology or compensation from Vodafone for those people who ordered on friday, but do not receive their phone tomorrow, expecially when they have had to arrange to take time off to accept the delivery?

Still no email. I was one of the first people to order and still have no idea if it will turn up on time. Unacceptable. Very poor logistics and customer service.

I have zero confidence my phone is coming tomorrow despite the assurances that pre-ordered handsets should be delivered for launch. If this was the case then surely a dispatch confirmation should have been sent by now?

There were instances on Thursday where customers had not received e-mail or text notifications and the phones were still delivered on Friday.
