iPhone 4 and 4S

Hi,

I requested an Unlock of my iPhone 4s on Friday 16th March and was told by your adviser that i will have an email within 48 hours informing me that my phone is unlocked. I am still waiting and have heard nothing yet. The requset Reference Number is: 433911.

Please could you let me know the status of my request?

Unlocking generally takes up to 4 days.

Have you connected the phone to iTunes with a no-Vodafone sim card to check if it has been unlocked? That is how the process is completed.

Yep, connected the phone about a hour agao. Just says that the Sim Card is not compatable!

And if it 'generally takes 4 days' why am i told i'll 'recieve an email within 48 hours' ?

It will take 48hours to complete (monday to friday).

So if it was put through on Friday the 16th, then there is a good chance that the request was not received by Apple until Today (the first working day after the request was sent) So 48 Hours from today means that the phone should be unlocked before Wednesday.

You will receive an email, either from Apple or from Vodafone to say that the Unlocking has taken place and also how to complete the process, so remember to keep an eye on your inbox!

Thanks for your post about unlocking your device.

I've contacted the NUC Resolutions team with your request reference. I'll update the thread when I've heard back from them.

In the meantime, have you tried plugging your iPhone into iTunes with a competitor's SIM card inside the phone?

Yes, i have tried that Lee. It's a Saudi Arabian Mobily sim. I know that the sim works because i have an iPhone 4 that i usually use out here in Saudi.

I've had word back form the NUC Resolutions team.

They have asked for you to fill the form out again as the IMEI number supplied was not recognised.

Generally 4-5 working days.

Generally you would receive an email with a reference number of your request.

However as it is only 24 hours since you submitted the form you may not receive anything until Monday.

What happened when you submitted the form, did you receive a reference number at that time?

@ Claustie, I have taken a look at your email history and I can’t see any history of the form being completed and the details being sent to us.

Due to this I have sent you a quick PM with further details on how to get in touch with us directly where we will be able to request this for you.

You can find your PM inbox here.

@ wxmred84, I can see that your UC request wasn’t completed due to you only just having the phone; you will need to wait 15 days from the delivery day of your handset before you can request the NUC for your phone.

Once this time has passed you will then need to re-submit the online form and this can then be requested for you.
