Anybody else having activation issues? Put in sim, powered on an off, rang customer services who said leave it another 5 hours - this was yesterday @ 18:00 Saturday - still no joy - and ideas?

Update - make that 27 hours now!!!!

Sounds like a non-registered SIM. Call CS.

Had the same issue + many more.

Hope it gets fixed soon.

Is this a new connection or an upgrade?

If it's an upgrade then you can activate the SIM yourself.

Thanks for the comments - its a new connection , was previously on O2 , talked to cs who verified sim was active yesterday @ 18:00 hours and told to wait 5 hours, 29 hrs and counting.....

Was with o2 as well and new customer too.

Call CS and ask them to activate it.

Well still not working after 42 hours, need to go to work now, will try cs again tonight if still not activated

Have you turned the phone off and back on again? Sounds stupid but I had the same issue and when I left it 24 hours and restarted the phone it connected within a minute. 

I was told my sim wasn't active as well by VF CS literally 15 seconds before it connected to the network.

Well on hold for 42 mins and they have just disconnected me while on hold.

Yes been turning on and off for 4 days now all Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

how do i get to live chat

Goto the main site and contact us - E-mail 

Leave it a little while and a red box normally comes up saying - Do you want to talk to an advisor - live chat

got it open in another windo but no ,live chat coming up

Refresh it every now and then - It will come up eventually. Took a while on mine but if your on the phone waiting then you may as well keep trying live chat as well. See which one you get through to first.

Update - cs put me through to iPhone team who said sim was not activated!!!!, this is what I was told Saturday hmm, said to try again in a couple of hours and to turn the phone off I the meantime but try every 30 mins, 53 hours and counting.....
