iPhone Unlock Code

Reference number - 467339

Hi,

I requested an unlock code around the 4th of last month. The £20 was taken and I was told that the phone would be unlocked within 48 hours. It has now been just under a month and the phone is still not unlocked. I have sent a couple of emails asking what was happening and I got two responses, the 1st being there was a small delay and the 2nd (sent monday of this week) that the request had been sent off and the phone should be done within 48 hours, again. I'm now extremly annoyed as I'm currently expecting many important phone calls for potential work/jobs in the next few days.

I expected the phone to be unlocked within a few days and for it to be taking this long is ridiculous. I'll probably be filing a complaint soemtime soon and expecting a refund as i paid for a service that should have been done ages ago.

Thank you,

Simon.

Re: iPhone Unlock Code

I'm sure you are aware but I just want to check to make sure that you know that the unlocking process is completed by sycning the iPhone with iTunes with an non Vodafine sim in it. You may not get a confirmation of the unlocking from Vodafone and you definitely won't get one from Apple. Only by syncing with iTunes can you be sure the unlock has or hasn't happened yet.

Re: iPhone Unlock Code

Yeah I've been doing that most days since I received the confirmation that the NUC request was sent to their team, which was around 3 weeks ago.

Re: iPhone Unlock Code

Hi SimH,

Thanks for your post here.

I have taken a look at the reference that you have provided and can see that this is still showing as pending, however as this has been a month now it should have been sorted by now.

Due to this I have sent an email over to our NUC’s team to chase this up with Apple directly however, due to the bank holiday weekend this probably won’t be picked up until Wednesday.

Re: iPhone Unlock Code

Hi SimH,

Our unlock teams have come back to me and advised that the handset has been unlocked for you.

Please place a non Vodafone SIM in the phone and perform a restore to complete the unlocking of your iPhone.
