Ok, I had a call from VF back on the 4th May touting a new Ipad to me. But I already have one I said, and dont really need one.
The guy went on to say, well you can have the 64g for £100 one off payment, and £16 per month for 2 Years.....that's only £6 per month more than you already pay on the monthly rolling Ipad sim you already have.
So I thought on it a while, didnt seem too bad, extra £6 per month for double the allowance.....so I said OK.
Now several weeks down the line I got hacked off waiting, phoned up and the guy said June/July for stock, so I cancelled the order, today, it turns up!!!!!!!!!! and the monthly payment is at £32 not £16 as I was told.
Needless to say, it's going straight back, and when my business contracts are up, im going back to Orange.
I hope the conversation was recorded, because the guy who lied to me needs sacking.
And if you want a laugh, i've just had a call back asking for the address to pick it up as it doesnt show on the system!!!!!!! It's just been delivered this morning, how can the address not be on the system.....
Can you actually organise anything VF?.....

I am sorry to see that you have had the iPad on a different package to what you had agreed with.
As you mention that this is a business account, i would recommend speaking with the business team to see if they can change the package to the £16 per month.
I would also recommend checking to see if there was a discount applied to that line, as the price plan could show as £32 with a 50% discount.

Well it was sent back the next day unopened, and when I rang up to question the price, I was told that it would be £32 per month, and i can assure you, I was quoted £16 when I was contacted by VF to sell me the Ipad.
Really not impressed, at £32 per month, and including the £100 payment up front, it would make the cost of the Ipad £768, and im not sure if VAT would also be applied at 20%, so another £153.60.......£921.60 for the Ipad.
So what happened to the £16 per month I was promised then?

I understand your frustration here as it does sound like there has been some confusion somewhere, when it comes to this type of deal you would need to discuss this with your business team directly as we would only be able to tell you what notes were on your account.
I would recommend getting back in touch to see if this can be offered again for you on a fresh deal.

I was on the phone for ages this morning, trying to get my £100 back that was taken after I cancelled the order
Probably have to wait until next week before I get it back, It's not the amount that's the problem, it's the fact it was taken after the order was cancelled.
All in all, been a total balls up, if the calls are recorded as stated, why cant you go back and listen to the recording when I was contacted and offered the deal?

Pastyman, if the amount is not an issue and you don't really miss it, get Vodafone to apply that amount as a credit to the account, that will cover the line rental on your lines for X amount of time, it's not the best solution I know but at least it works and you have peace of mind that you have it available.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

It's really not as simple as applying a credit to the account, it has to be accounted for on the books, and showing a credit on a phone bill against a debit on a current account aint too easy, and I shouldn't have to do it .
I have just been back on the phone, and they have just said that they will do the payment now, and it will take 5-7 days.......
So the person that was supposed to pay it back last week didn't bother.
So Vodafone, are you going to pay me some interest on MY money You took when you shouldn't have???????
If I delivered goods against a cancelled order to one of my customers, took money from thier account and then held onto it for 3 weeks, I would have no customers left.
How hard can it be, I take card payments etc, and it doesn't take a week for processing, 2-3 days tops....

I’m sorry to read of the issues you’ve had concerning this iPad 2 deal.
As a team, there would normally be more we could do in these cases, but when it comes to a business account, we are restricted to only being able to display certain aspects to the account, and we have no access to make changes or action anything within them. It’s only the specific business teams who can do this, so it does restrict our input in cases of this type.
If you do encounter any further issues, please let me know and I’ll endeavour to assist to the best of my abilities.
