If you've found that your btconnect email service has stopped working on your iPhone/iPad after the recent changes by BT to their incoming mail server, please follow the guide below to get your email back up and running:
To add a btconnect email address to an iPhone.
1) From the front press settings
2) Click mail, contacts, calendar
3) Click add account
4) From the list click other
5) Click add mail account
6) Put the name that you would like people to see when they get an email from you in the NAME field
7) Enter your username in the format of a btconnect email address e.g. Firstname.email@example.com (for business users with a custom domain, add the email address as firstname.lastname@example.org) in the ADDRESS field
8) Enter the btconnect password in the PASSWORD field
9) Enter anything in the DESCRIPTION field
10) Click next, if at this point you get an error message that says “SMTP Server doesn’t support authentication, please check your account settings and try again.” Click OK and go to STEP 12
11) Select new account
12) Select POP
13) Scroll down to the INCOMING MAIL SERVER and enter POP.OUTLOOK.COM in the HOST NAME section
14) In the USERNAME field enter the username as your complete email address e.g. firstname.lastname.btconnect.com (where the user has custom domain email@example.com)
15) Enter the password in the PASSWORD field
16) Scroll down to the OUTGOING MAIL SERVER and enter SMTP.OUTLOOK.COM in the HOST NAME. If you have more than one server you may need to select SMTP.OUTLOOK.COM from the list
17) In the USERNAME field enter the username as the complete email address e.g. firstname.lastname@btconnect (where the user has a custom domain firstname.lastname@example.org)
18) Enter your password in the PASSWORD field
19) Check the server port is set to 587
20) Click DONE. It may take a few minutes while the iPad/iPhone tries to check the account
21) Select ADVANCED and under INCOMING SETTINGS make sure the server port is set to 995
22) Click on account name top left and select DONE
Incoming Mail Server; POP.OUTLOOK.COM
Incoming Mail Server ;Server Port 995
Outgoing Mail Server; SMTP.OUTLOOK.COM
Outgoing Mail Server; Server Port 587

If you are experiencing an issue connecting to the BT Openzone WIFI through the My Vodafone Application and receive a message to download the configuration file and are then presented with an error message advising you that the SSID is not unique please follow the details below.
When you try to connect to the BT Openzone WIFI Hotspot simply decline the download of the configuration file as this should already be pre installed on your device.
On iOS 4.3.1 and above, the BT Openzone settings for WiFi are already included. When you go into a hotspot area and manually select “Auto-BTWiFi” SSID, you will connect to the secure EAP-SIM authenticated BT Openzone WIFI hotspot.
You will needs to turn “auto-join” on once connected, to enable the device to connect automatically in future.
On iOS 5 and above auto-join is automatic, so you should connect to the “Auto-BTWiFi” SSID when in range without having to do anything. If auto-join does not work for some reason, just select “Auto-BTWiFi” to re-connect.
For pre-iOS 4.3.1 iPhones, you can get the settings to access the same secure BT Openzone hotspot by downloading a configuration file. The link to this file is found in the My Vodafone app in the WiFi Setup area.
