SIM not activating

I have now being trying a full whole week to get vodofone to activate my SIM card.  I upgraded from an iphone 4s to a 5s therefore SIM card couldn'd swap over.  I took it to a shop (to avoid hassle) and have now been promised 5 times - by their telephone support - that it is happening yet here I am a week later and no phone.  Until now I have been impressed with their service but this is shocking. Can anyone help please?

Hi,

I agree this shouldn't be taking a week to complete.

Has the service stopped on your old sim yet to indicate the process has started ?

It's maybe that either the simswap has failed or your new sim is faulty some way.

If this was my situation I'd go back to the shop and ask them to start a new process if contacting Vodaphone Cust service by phone or live chat cannot help.

'Contact us' options at the foot of the forum page.

Things to try on your iPhone if Service has stopped on your original SIM card.

On the iPhone hold down the Sleep/Wake Button and Home button together until the Apple Logo shows. Then On seeing this Apple Logo release both buttons ,and the iPhone will reset , which has been known to clear most glitches.

Other options are :

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.
