living in rural Cambridgeshire, we have to use the vodafone sure signal to have a signal, which has worked until we upgraded the IOS operating system on the iphone 6 to 8.2  now we have NO SIGNAL most of the time even though the sure signal has been reset to factory settings.  Is this a problem with my phone, my sure signal or vodafone, any suggestions???

There certainly isn't an issue with iOS and Sure Signals in general terms so it has to be something specific.

Apple won't be able to help. You probably need to get Vodafone to re-sync the Sure Signal.

we have already gone through this process, to no avail, it still does not work!

as i have had the sure signal for several years perhaps i have to update it?  think i have Version 1 a large white and grey box.

Hi @Mitch938

Your Sure Signal hasn’t connected to the network since 7 February.

Please test a different Ethernet cable and check your ports are opened as follows:

  • 8 (TCP & UDP)
  • 50 (TCP & UDP)
  • 53  (TCP & UDP)
  • 67 (UDP)
  • 68 (UDP)
  • 123 (UDP)
  • 500 (UDP)
  • 1723 (TCP & UDP)
  • 4500 (UDP)
  • 33434 - 33445 (UDP)

IP addresses to be allowed on the router & firewall

  • 183.133.177-179
  • 183.133.181-182
  • 183.131.128-191

Once the above steps have been followed please perform a reset:
    • Unplug the Ethernet cable from the Sure Signal
    • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports
    • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
    • Once the lights come back on, release the button
    • Plug the cable back in

Allow around one hour for the Sure Signal to come back online.

If it's still not working, please test your Sure Signal at a different location.

Thanks,

Gemma

Hi Gemma,

have checked the ports, and performed the re boot as per your instructions

but this has not worked we still do not have any service the phones constantly read NO SERVICE.  is there any thing we can do to rectify the situation or do we have to replace the unit??

many thanks

Michelle

Hi @Mitch938

Is it just one number that’s being affected by the Vodafone Sure Signal or is it multiple devices?

We advise that you do a factory reset on the Sure Signal device as Gemma has suggested and then do a hard reset on the phone.

Once this has been done, check to see if this is working.

If not, try the SIM card in another phone, this will help rule out of this is a iPhone issue or a Vodafone Sure Signal issue.

We also recommend that the number affected is removed from the Sure Signal set up and then re added.

Once you’ve tried this, please let us know if there’s been any change.

Cheers,

Laura
