Returned 2 note 7 devices and thought why should i give vodafone over 100 quid upfront cost for the upgrade when i can do it through cpw. They had a silver 7 plus 256gb in stock and the rest is history

Hi,

It's true that Cpw can offer deals on handsets and tariffs. 

If a person upgrades through them and not directly through Vodafone then you become their customer. 

Certain discounts such as Employers VEA isn't available. 

They do have a history of opening up a 2nd line and not upgrading and not updating the Network very fast on the upgrade which can cause delays sometimes on the service on the phone working properly.

I agree but i was lucky and recieved the handset the next day. I actually paid more upfront than vodafone themselves were offering but thats my point. I didnt want vodafone to get my upfront cost they can have my monthly payment but nothing else.

I assume that CPW told you that the phone would be locked to Vodafone even though you bought it from CPW

The iPhone locks out to the first sim inserted. 

The only iPhones that do not are units purchased at full retail cost from Apple directly.
