I had a phone in July 2019 and returned it to vodaphone within the cooling off period sent it by Royal Mail with proof of purchase then.got contacted by 4 credit agencies wanting over £900.00 I was informed that it was supplied by a 3rd party who I have contacted none of them say they supplied the phone unfortunately due to the time scale I no longer have proof of postage do not know what to do can anyone help

Just to clarify did you open up the contract directly with Vodafone UK or did you open up the contract with an independent i.e like Carphone Warehouse etc @Shirls14983
When you cancelled within the cooling off period Vodafone would then charge for anything used and then send a Sorry your Leaving Letter and a £0 bill which confirms account ceasure. Did you receive any if the above ?
Vodafone have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team who can investigate a default to check if it is warranted or not. If warranted it will remain on your Credit File for 6 years.
The Credit File Specialist Teams are not customer facing you you would need to go through The Vodafone Social Media Teams which can be contacted via 》Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries.
