HTC One X - Signal Drop Out and Not Regained

Hi

I have had a HTC One X for the past month, however this problem has been gradually getting worse.

Mainly in work but its also happened other places i can have a great signal and be on HSDPA or 3G, then i will move to somewhere such as the kitchen area in work and the signal will drop out. I will then return to my desk and put the phone in the exact place it was getting full signal and data connection but the Signal will not come back. I will get the No Signal message.

I have tried leaving the phone for over 30 mins but the signal doesnt come back and also looking for the network manually but it doesnt find it.

However, if i restart the phone the full signal and HSDPA/3G connection will come back.

Is this a fault with the phone or a strange network issue?

I am also a suffering from this problem and have tried both my three sim card and Vodafone sim, a great phone but I never had this with my I phone. Very disappointed. Is there any word of a fix yet?

Same problem with my phone had to reset twice today. Missed a hob as well. Not good for 36 pounds a month. My wife has the same phone and has had it happen as well.

Job (fat thumbs)

Add me to the list. This is now happening with increasing frquency. I am missing calls on my drive to work as I leave home ( poor/no  signal area) and enter a strong signal area within 3 miles but the phone remains apparently "hung" at no signal state. Toggle airplane mode immediately returns 5 bars signal strength. URGENT update of issue satus and  progress with Voda tech team and HTC  requested please.

Hi everyone,

Can you let me know the software version you're all using on your HTC One X so that we can give information to HTC? As this isn't happening across all devices (mine included has been issue free) we need more details to pass back to the device teams here and at HTC.

Simply go to 'Settings', 'About' and 'Software Information'. The more cases we have, the better a chance we can replicate the issue here to show HTC.

Cheers, Ben

Thnaks for reply - on my device.

Software 1.29.161.13

I'm having same problem on mine ... software level 1.29.161.13

mine has not done it yet since putting a layer of tape on micro sim :smileywink:

I tried the tape on the sim and it made no difference.
