Received an email about 10 minutes ago to say the phone has arrived in-store and ready to collect. The Vodafone tracking is still showing stage 2. I would ignore it and wait for the email.
I pre-ordered my S8 on 12th April and prior to placing the order, this is what I was told.........
Delivery will be made between 8am and 6pm on 20/4/17 and someone will need to sign for this The delivery cost is £4.94, which will be added to your next invoice and our delivery agent will send you a text message on the day, to help reduce that delivery time window for you
I then heard no more so assumed (yes, this is Vodafone so probably a stupid thing to do!) that all was still on track. At 00.20 this morning, the day of delivery, I received a text message to say that they will let me know when it's back in stock. Surely they knew they couldn't send it for delivery today before then, notice is too short. It's the inconvenience of having to have another day off to take delivery when they finally do send it!
That's sounds about right.
When I called yesterday to ask if my order was definitely coming today they said that because I'd ordered before the 12th April it would. Anything after that would be the 28th.
Just had confirmation email that phone is ready to pick up in store - looks like the tracking info is just not updating.

I pre-ordered a black S8 on the 30th of March and I've literally heard nothing since getting a confirmation email and text that day. I'm picking it up in store too.
I tried asking live chat last night but got a very confusing answer of "I can see the order is not completed yet so I am afraid you will be getting the delivery by tomorrow"
My S8 in orchid grey arrived at about 11:15 by DPD!
All that messing around yesterday, being told I definitely wouldn't receive my device until after 28th. Just glad to have received it, they started charging me for my new price plan last night.
Wow, you think you've got it bad. I was sent the wrong phone S8 instead of S8 plus. They arranged a return for me and told me that DPD would deliver the correct phone in exchange for the other one today. As I hadn't heard any more from them when I got up this morning I rang them and said that I had received no confirmation email or text. I was assured, somewhat rudely it must be said, that the phone had definately been despatched and I wasn't wasting my time waiting in.
I've just come off the phone to someone who started out by telling me that they were waiting for DPD to collect the phone from the warehouse and when I pushed him further he admitted that it was out of stock and wouldn't be available until next week some time.
I'm so glad I don't work for Vodafone, every day must be a nightmare. A team of chimpanzees could do a better job. I swear they just make it up as they go along!
they are despicable. I can't believe those idiotic super users on this forum keep protecting vodafone and always siding with them instead of siding with the customers who are fed up with its useless customer service

So, there are people being told the S8 is out of stock and yet they are managing to send S8's to others who ordered the S8+........................it's unbelievable
If Vodafone weren't such a big established company they'd be out of business within a week the way they manage things
Make sure you make a formal complaint. I have always gotten a lot of money back making formal complaint and NOT accepting a small good will gesture. Last year, they put me in a plan that I never asked for, I had to make a complaint, call them many times, spent hours on the phone but at the end got £230 back onto my account!
Mine wasn't for s8 it was for 7 edge 2 months ago and it was still on stage 2 after I received it.but it arrived when they said it would
And the dpd tracker worked spot on for me
