Smart Ultra 6 (Problem)

Having a problem with apps such as: Strava, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest.

When attempting to load, I'm faced with a blank screen and after a minute of so it gives me a message "Standard Home screen isn't responding. Do you want to close it?"

I then need to restart my phone every time.

All other apps working ok. Phone calls, messages are no problem.

Solution? Thanks

Hi @DANHAMMAN

If this was my phone I'd first start by deleting the apps and clearing caches and cookies and then re download them.

Id ensure I'm in the latest firmware update via the phones software update settings.

If all the settings look to be ok then I'd make a back up and then factory reset the phone which takes it back to the last firmware update.

If that didn't help them take it into a Vodafone store for them to take a look and if necessary they'll send it off to be checked over.

It has a 24 month manufacturing warranty. This does not cover issues caused by a drop or water damage.

Hi, this is not a solution as such but I'm having the same problem (I only use Facebook from the apps you have listed). I get the same message and the same blank screen. It feels like there's some sort of virus linked to the Facebook app but I could be wrong.

Basically, I have uninstalled the FB app completely and my phone is back to working fine. But, like you, its bugging me and I don't have enough technical knowledge to sort it out. I think the other post on this thread gives some good advice but I don't think it will come to that, I'm expecting the next Facebook update to sort the bug out and if it doesn't then I think we should follow that guy's advice. Good luck and let me know how you get on.

Thanks Barnesy!! Much much appreciated - glad to see it's not just me.

I've deleted two apps: Strava and Facebook. They seemed to be the ones crashed the most often. Since then (12 hrs ago) I've not had any problems.

Fingers crossed.

Yes, mine is fine as well. But I hate being without FB! If I get it all working again I'll let you know

You could temporarily use fb through internet and put a short cut on home screen. This is what I'm doing until fb app is resolved. Only thing is you can't look at messenger this way as it wants you to install messenger, but I had issues with messenger app freezing the ultra 6 too.

Good idea thanks! I'll have to do that because I hate being without FB! I'm assuming you're having the same issue? Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

By any chance do any of you have Pokémon go installed cause I'm having the same problem and my brother thinks it could be Pokémon go but after reading this I believe it is Facebook which is the only other thing I had installed from the apps that you have mentioned

No, I don't have pokemon on my phone, I'm almost certain its the Facebook's latest update causing the problem. Still don't know for sure though.
