Vodafone V10 Issues since update

My Vodafone V10 was working fine up until software update a few weeks ago. Ever since then it is nearly impossible to access Chrome as well as Apps including GoodPlay, and calls cut out for no reason. Had no issues before the software update.

Any help?

Hi @JacksonC

As you have updated the phone, it may be necessary to do a factory reset, this will clear the phone of any remaining bugs from the previous software.

If this does not fix the problem and you are still having issues, take the phone into a Vodafone Store where they will be able to look at the problems and if necessary, recommend a repair.Repairs

Hi @JacksonC

Are you able to put the phone in Safe Mode which disables any downloaded apps and leaves the stock ones working just to see if it's a rogue app(s) that are not playing nice with the update you've completed.

Make sure there are no app updates.

Also if your phone allows turn the phone Off and then from a set series of button presses go into the phones system files and clear the phones system cache which can sometimes help. This procedure does not delete your personal info.

Google on how to and if your phone allows this.

If not then as suggested factory reset but please back up to any online vaults such as google, dropbox etc, and any relevant Sd card beforehand.

Remove the Sd card before factory resetting.

Be aware sometimes the phone won't always update fully / properly using back ups so you may have to reset certain things back up so make sure you know your various passwords etc.

This is why a Factory reset is a very last resort.

A factory rest would be part of any repair, so you wont; lose anything (see what's previously been said about backups) by trying it.   They're not quite the pain they used to be, as Android now asks if you want to restore from another device during the initial setup.   Choose your own phone and a remarkable number of settings reinstate themselves.   You will need to sign back into most 3rd party services, though.   I also take screenshots of homescreens as an aid to re-setting those, too.
