Vodafone VFD710 keyboard issue

Ive just rebooted my phone and the keyboard wont appear for me to type in my password to unlock the phone. 

I`ve tried a reboot and a hard reboot still no joy.

Someone has just called me and the error message 

"GBOARDING STOPPED WORKING"  popped up 

any ideas?

I cant access my phone though, its locked i need to enter my password to unlock it but can`t as i have no keyboard as Gboard isnt popping up for me to type

Can you get to a Vodafone Highstreet Store @Coops666  for the staff to have hands on with it ?

Just read this is a world wide issue as of 8-10hrs ago. Gboard update was released and if you then restart your phone the gboard keyboard wont be accessable for you to unlock your phone.

Ive now resolved this by connecting my phone to a laptop.

logging into google playstore

re-install the gboard app onto the phone

restart phone.

if that doesnt work just install a different keyboard app and restart phone.
