Hi all
I was just changing my settings in my stock sms app on my S7 EDGE
And although I've seen it in my settings before I have no idea what cell broadcast is for
I have tried looking but found loads of answers from putting the correct dialling code for the town your in
To sending multiple messages and quite a few others
Does any one no what it's exact use is as I don't want to disable it not knowing what it's use is
It's In message settings and then more settings
Thanks

Cell Broadcast is designed for simultaneous delivery to multiple users in a specified area
Networks have the possibility to automatically send your messages. You can disable this from the settings, if you don't want to receive such messages.

No. It's purely for receiving messages sent by the network. My old Nokias used to display the local area code if it was on, but that went with Symbian and, afaik, Android ignores it too.
