does android messages work with vodafone RCS

Using Android Messages on a Google Pixel 2 and all the features are enabled :Screenshot_20181218-222447.png

 

I don't really know how to test if it works and I really dislike message+ !

I deleted my cache and storage on the messages app and now it's working! Shame i only have one mate on Vodafone without an iPhone !

I have a Pixel 2 and my wife has a Huawei P20 and we both use RCS on Android Messages on a daily basis. It's really useful and in my opinion is superior to the likes of WhatsApp as if RCS isn't available the message will send as a standard SMS.

The only (very) slight huccup being that both users need to have RCS enabled on their account, which is the only way to test it really. So worth sitting down with someone you know who has also enabled and see what you can find pinging messages back and forth between the two of you.
