mobile hotspot not working after receiving new settings from Vodafone

I recently received an update on my Huawei Mate 10 pro, and shortly after there was a notification from Vodafone prompting to install new APN and picture messaging settings as it detected an update. Now, when I tether my tablet to the phone's hotspot, the connection is fine, but the tablet shows "Connected but no internet", even with full 4G on the phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

You may need to contact Vodafone customer services to ask them to check that tethering / hotspot is still activated on your Vodafone account @Paolovee

May I ask what the update was ?

i.e Android 10 or something else.

Edit : Can you try and connect another device to your phones hotspot to see if that connects as a process of elimination.

Try clearing the cache etc on both your phone and other device.

As a last resort back up and factory reset.

Problem solved. The APN setti gs had to be restored to default.
