I got email and decided to reset phone to try Wi-Fi calling that way today finally got Wi-Fi calling setup up.
And here is the results just got home from work and connected to my internet put Wi-Fi calling on nothing won't connect to it unless I put phone in aeroplane mode.
Before it would work even thou no-one could hear me.
but now nothing.
Ok this is weird i have Wi-Fi calling on both the phone and on the Vodafone app connected to home internet but for some reason the Wi-Fi calling symbol flashes up for a second or 2 then goes off.
What the symbol flashes up on your phone then disappears? That's normal thats what its supposed to do it appears when your phone signal is weak and it's telling you that Wi-Fi calling is ready if needed. Cannot answer your other part about the Vodafone app on your internet sorry. I'm sure someone can help you.
But when connected to home internet and using Wi-Fi calling the symbol should show up all the time and also when you make calls. My signal at home goes down to 2 to 1 bar but Unfortunately my Wi-Fi symbol shows for a second or 2 then disappears. Been on phone to Vodafone they think it's a fault with my phone
I originally didn't have even the option for Wifi calling on my S8 and after speaking to Vodafone customer service people who spoke to the tech dept they said they had done all they could and it was definitely a hardware fault with the phone. I was told to call Samsung and take it up with them. Handy.
Haven't had time to do that as it would involve taking it into a store, etc. However after the last software update on Sunday....Lo and Behold, the Wifi calling icon is now there! Yay!
But like everyone else, no-one can hear me.
##~## is going on??! Voda there are clearly some phones that can use wifi calling(unless people on here are lying) and some that don't. There must be a reason why - a software issue. And if you can't understand why there is an issue with some phones will you just replace our handsets with ones that can use the service?
It's really that simple surely?
just called Customer Relations team to be told issue is fixed so have just tried to make a wifi call and it seems to have worked the other party can hear what i'm saying
That's good glad you got your one sorted. Gotta take mine back to shop as mine is not connecting to Wi-Fi calling even when i have switched on been told it's still software issue even thou I reset the phone 😯

Hi all just an update
Well i went to my local Vodafone shop and went in and had a chat regarding my problem.
They were really nice people but they said first thing to do was change SIM which i agreed with but the problem i had there if it still didn't work i would have to send my phone off to be looked at but couldn't give me a phone to use as a replacement as they never had any.
Now the problem i have is my father in law who has cancer is travelling to London a few times this week and I need a phone that has WiFi calling.
Anyway I tried the SIM still no luck so only option i had to was to flash my phone didn't want too but in my case I had no choice.
But now my Wi-Fi calling calling is working.
I have not even got the wifi calling feature shown on my recently purchased Samsung S8 plus from Vodafone. I text CALLING to 97888 to activate the feature and got a response saying it would be activated in 24 hours, that was 3 days ago and nothing. This was the 2nd time I tried that. Powered off and on and have the latest firmware release.
Can Vodafone or someone please advise. (I am currently on holiday in France if that makes any difference but have a very strong wifi router here.)
If you goto online chat and say to them that you have not got the WiFi calling option on your phone and say to them that you have texted the number with the word calling 3days ago still not showing they should refresh your account with WiFi calling enabled.
Thanks. I checked my account online and it shows activated. currently talking to Vodafone support online but first they were unsure . Now come back and say Nought update switched feature off. I suspect he meant Nougart Android update. He has turned it back on again but so far nothing showing under Phone, three dots menu. They are still thinking about it..
