Please please help!

Hi barmouthlad,

Apologies for the delay in responding.

Lee would have been looking to check anything which may be causing issues so that everything, no matter how unlikely, gets investigated.

The fact that the phones work away from any Sure Signals seems to rule out the SIMs generally, the affected phones connect on a different Sure Signal, and the Sure Signal gets a connection for at least one handset which rules out hardware and connection. Given this we need to pick our way through any remaining possibilities. One of these would be swapping out the SIMs just to see if there is anything there which could be the first signs of the SIMs failing.

I can see that you have deregistered the Sure Signal again around the time of this post, which may help clear the decks again given the recent location changes. Can you ensure that you leave at least 24 hours then re-register the Sure Signal for me? Once you've done that, add one number at a time and test so we can see if it is all working.

If you're still having issues, let us know and we will have a further dig for you.

Dave

its been 24hours now since i re-registered my VSS using my partners account and added myself as a user, Vss box is showing steady lights 1-2 and 4.

checked vodafone website and vss box status is showing active.

AND........

neither of us are able to get 3g signals, both our phones revert to sos calls only

i'm at my wits end now and feel like throwing the vss box in the bin!

Hey barmouthlad,

Thanks for the update. This is most bizarre!

I can see the device was de-registered yesterday and it's in the same state today. Are you arranging a replacement or something?

Cheers,

LeeH

Lee

No not arranging a replacement yet!! I de registered the vss from my partners account last night, I'm going to re register it in my name tomorrow (Saturday)

If it fails I will seek a replacement but it looks like that it self will be a mission as Vodafone online currently have no stock.

Have now re registered my VSS box using my account and ...............

My blackberry has a 3g signal and my partners phone has sos calls only.

My VSS box  is approx 2 years old would vodafone replace it free of charge?

UPDATE

Over a Month without a correctly functioning  unit And as if by magic my VSS unit is now working!

Anythink to do with a software update Mr Vodafone??

I will be keeping the pre paid returns bag that I eventually managed to get out of customer services for the next time vodafone do a software update and render my VSS unit fit for the bin.

Regards

Ian
